Wind Waterfall - Botanical Garden is a nature reserve with an area of over 40 hectares located in Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park. II. Where is the botanical garden located?

The Botanical Garden is located on km 9, 20 Quyet Thang Street, about 12km from Phong Nha-Ke Bang Tourist Center. Covering an area of 41.82 hectares, it is a place to simultaneously implement two conservation methods that very few other national parks have. That is, to conserve in situ (in situ) the biodiversity value of the natural forest ecosystem and at the same time collect and migrate plant species from other places, also known as ex situ conservation.

The highlight of the botanical garden is the beautiful landscape hidden in the tropical forest, such as Gio waterfall over 30m high, Vang Anh lake on a 3-slot stream, a native seedling nursery, and a rare forest with populations of green iron.

Before entering the forest, you will visit the specimen gallery, which is a place to store dried specimens for scientific research and environmental interpretation.

Here, visitors can see a collection of specimens of endemic and rare plant and animal species of Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, some specimens of geomorphology, and coral reefs. The four rays are scientific evidence of an ancient geomorphological system formed over 400 million years ago that few places can see.

You can admire the rich flora with nearly 500 species of trees in Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park. Among them can be mentioned some rare and precious tree species with a circumference of up to 300 cm, such as green iron, mahogany, and Huynh, and especially the presence of the hundred-year-old Vietnamese star tree with a circumference of more than 3 people hugging. One new rare and precious tree species has been named and identified with scientific nomenclature.

Along with the majestic beauty of Wind Falls and the mystery and danger of the sightseeing route along the slot, Vang Anh Lake is one of the interesting destinations of the Botanical Garden.

Vang Anh Lake

 Quietly located in the shadow of a primeval forest, Vang Anh Lake is a suitable place for visitors to relax by swimming, camping, and resting. Watching orchids and listening to birds chirp will help you relax. Forget the stress and fatigue of life. After Vang Anh Lake, continue on the sightseeing route. Visitors can watch the hornbill with many large individuals, observe monkeys, tigers, and black squirrels competing to pass branches, and listen and observe close to fruit-eating birds. You can especially see firsthand the dances of peacocks, one of the ten most beautiful birds on the planet.
