I. Introduce

The journey to discover Ruc Mon cave in Hoa Son, which is one of the largest caves in the Phong Nha Ke Bang area, has been exploited by GreenLand Company since the beginning of 2017. The number of people who have the opportunity to set foot in Ruc Mon Cave is very high. because this is not a journey for those who are not passionate enough and ready to conquer adventurous challenges.  The journey to discover Ruc Mon Cave is a great choice for those who are passionate about conquering challenges and want to have a lifetime experience. Accompanied by countless experiences such as walking in the middle of the green forest, learning about the diverse flora and fauna, learning about the life of the Hoa Son people, discovering giant stalactites, swimming 2km into the cave, and conquering the mountains. Mineral layers of millions of years with fossils from the first to the third floor and an average height of 40–400 meters, along with countless other interesting experiences, are waiting for you at Ruc Mon Cave in Hoa Son.

Start :7:30 AM - 8:00 AM

Finish : 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM

 

• From 07:30 - 08:00 Tour guide picks up guests at Green and Travel headquarters to prepare the necessary equipment for the trip. Get information on trip schedules and safety recommendations. During the journey, you will be introduced by the guide to the history of the cave's formation and development as well as some of the traditional culture of the Chut ethnic group.
• 09:30 We will stop at Tang Hoa village of the Chut ethnic group, which is close to the Viet Nam-Laos border area strictly controlled by border guards. From here, we will go to Hoa Son village, where only a few households live, and start the walking journey.
• 11:30 After following the small road along the river to reach the mouth of Ruc Mon Cave, you will be overwhelmed by the beautiful and mysterious cave mouth. Here, we will enjoy a BBQ lunch prepared by the porter team. After lunch, we will rest at the cave mouth for 15 minutes and prepare the necessary equipment. We start the journey by swimming along the water (2km), then climb to different rock layers and admire the growth of huge limestone patches formed over millions of years. Conquer the dry cave with three floors and countless layers of minerals, stalactites, etc.
• 16:00 After finishing the caving journey, you will be greeted with delicious cups of coffee, drinks, and cakes thoughtfully prepared by our Porter team. After resting and relaxing, we return to the village. The journey ends on the bus back to Phong Nha from 5:30pm - 6:30pm.

III.Tour equipment: 

• Shuttle bus, helmet, headlight, gloves, socks, trekking sandals, long-sleeved shirt, towel, life jacket, etc. Lunch, snacks after the tour, drinking water, medical equipment, medicine... 
• English guide and professional porter team
• Waterproof bag for the camera and phone.

IV. You need to bring:

• Swimwear
• Clothes that dry easily 
• 01 set of clothes to change after the trip
• Can bring shoes, sandals to change into after the end of the journey.
• Personal items: mosquito spray, sunscreen, glasses, hats, etc.

V. Experience for first-timers

 When traveling to discover Ruc Mon, to have the best experience, you should know some of the following know some of the following:

 You are not allowed to arbitrarily visit Ruc Mon Cave; currently, the cave has been given exclusive rights by the Greenland Company. So you can join the Ruc Mon trekking tour. This exclusivity is a way to help limit overexploitation of the area and preserve the site and its inherent natural beauty. 

You should follow the guide closely to not get lost: getting to the cave is quite difficult and arduous. You have to go through a forest and climb uphill to get to the Ruc Mon Gate. Therefore, when exploring Ruc Mon, you need a guide for the most convenient trip. 

There is no exact route to the cave: Ruc Mon Cave is not available on Google Maps, and there are no directions or signs. You can only trust and follow instructors who have a lot of experience and knowledge. That's why you shouldn't explore this cave alone.

VI.Important Notes!!!

•  Due to weather conditions, the guide may change the route to ensure the client's safety!
•  Please check and make sure you understand the details of the tour that you will join to ensure you get the value you expect from the journey. Don’t bring jewelry or any other valuable accessories!
• Long sleeve-shirt and long pants are highly recommended due to the leeches and poison ivy on the way! 
• We  are not responsible if another company uses our catalog, and photos to sell another tour.

 

VII.Tour cancellation policies: 

We have fully prepared for the tour and to ensure customers have the best experience, unfortunately if you cancel the tour 7 days in advance, you will be charged 50% of the payment! Or we'll treat your booking as a booking and you can take the tour anytime within 7 days of your cancellation! Please understand the policies!
